Sites will reopen across the UK from the beginning of July, including those in Blackpool and Southport. After months of closure and with lockdown restrictions now being relaxed, UK tourists have been questioning when caravan and campsites will reopen to the public. But now the The Camping and Caravaning Club has announced that the majority of campsites across the country will welcome visitors again from July 4.
The organisation manages a site in Blackpool South and another in Southport – both of which will reopen next month. In order to keep in line with coronavirus guidelines, the organisation has revealed an extensive list of social distancing measures which have been introduced. The club has also confirmed that it can only open toilet and shower facilities if it gets the green-light from the Government.

The Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act the Act applies to tenancy agreements for caravans, caravan sites, houseboats and rented manufactured homes. Manufactured homes which are occupied by their owners are covered by the Manufactured Homes Residential Parks Act which is administered by the Department of Housing and Public Works. The Act covers short term moveable dwelling tenancies of up to 42 days and long term tenancies, but does not apply to holiday lettings.

However, there must be a Short Tenancy Statement confirming that both parties have entered into a short tenancy. A long term tenancy may be for a fixed term with a stated end date or periodic with no end date.
There must be a written agreement containing the standard terms in place. The tenant must receive a copy of the signed Moveable dwelling tenancy agreement Form 18b by the day of occupation. Any bond paid by the tenant must be lodged with the Residential Tenancies Authority RTA together with a completed Bond lodgement Form 2 within 10 days of receipt. The bond can be paid in instalments.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey exploring a potential new holiday park at the Quinns Rocks Caravan Park site. More than 1, residents, ratepayers, stakeholders, businesses, industry groups and potential visitors – from across the City and Perth metropolitan area – participated in the survey, which closed on Friday, 14 February The business case will help Council consider the potential alternatives for the site.
The business case is now expected to be completed in the coming months, at which time it is intended that the findings will be presented to Council.
